Information on Acquisition Phase

In systems engineering, the system lifecycle can be broken into two main phases: the Acquisition Phase and the Utilisation Phase. In the Acquisition Phase the system is developed from a single statement of need to a deliverable system with all supporting, or enabling, products. The Acquisition Phase ends with acceptance testing (Formal Qualification Review) after which the system is introduced into service and the Utilisation Phase begins.
