Information on Integration

Integration is the process of combining parts into a whole. That is, integration involves combining components into modules, modules into subsystems and subsystems into a system. In systems engineering, integration is the important reverse process of a top-down break-up of the system down into components. Managing the interface between elements is therefore a critical part of systems engineering.
