Information on Integration Testing

The top down approach of systems engineering breaks the system down into manageable portions which are then integrated back together to form the complete system. Integration testing is undertaken to ensure that components can be integrated to form modules, modules to form subsystems and subsystems to form the system. Integration testing is therefore vital to the success of systems engineering.
