Information on Interface Control Document

The Interface Control Document (ICD) is used to manage the integration of different system elements. The Interface Control Document is a Type B specification that is developed during Preliminary Design to define the functional interfaces between different system elements. Interfaces between individual configuration items are further defined in Development Specifications and Product Specifications. The Interface control Document ICD defines the flow between configuration items.
