Information on Requirements Elicitation

Requirements elicitation requires working with customers and users to understand the problem to be solved, the required performance of the system, constraints and so on.
     Requirements elicitation is not simply a matter of asking stakeholders what they want. Additionally, requirements elicitation is not always a simple knowledge transfer process. In reality, users rarely have a clear view of their requirements, different people in an organisation have conflicting requirements, users are rarely aware of the limitations that technology will have on their expectations, and so on.
