Information on Requirements Validation
In requirements engineering, requirements must be validated to be complete,
consistent and unambiguous to ensure that the requirements represent a
complete appropriate description of the desired system.
The requirements validation
process aims to detect any problems with the requirements set
before it is used as the start point for system
development.
In short, requirements validation is mostly concerned with the
question "Have we got the requirements right?".
While our normal impulse
is to keep progressing, it is very cost-efficient to pause
and complete requirements validation properly to ensure that errors
do not creep into the subsequent design.
