Verification and validation refers to the combined systems engineering processes of ensuring that system elements being developed meet that the end of each phase the conditions imposed at the beginning of the phase and that the final developed system satisfies the specified requirements. Appropriate verification and validation procedures are an important part of a systems engineering process.
