Information on Accomplishment and Celebration

"Accomplishment and Celebration" is one of the nine dimensions of the high-performance team wheel.
Accomplishment and Celebration recognises the importance of reward, recognition, and reinforcement to sustained effort and enthusiasm throughout projects, as well as when the job is done to recognise achievements and celebrate. Since environments don’t always provide sufficient reinforcement, team members reward one another for their efforts, good ideas, and accomplishments; they encourage one another, fostering team spirit, and by being generous with positive feedback. Team members go out of their way to find accomplishments to recognise and celebrate.
There is a continuous sense of progress and achievement in a team strong in accomplishment and celebration. Team members create opportunities for celebrating success and achievements. Team does not wait until huge projects are finished to celebrate or acknowledge what they have done so far. If teams wait until the job is entirely done to celebrate, motivation and enthusiasm may flag while they are still needed. You might see signs of resignation, hopeless-ness, or complacency, or simply that lack of spark or zest that enables extraordinary performance. A lot of people dismiss celebrations as premature or unnecessary, depriving themselves and others of joy and energy that feed greater performance.
