Information on Decisive Coordinated Action

"Decisive Coordinated Action" is one of the nine dimensions of the high-performance team wheel.
In High-Performance Teams, team members are skilled at coming to closure, that is, moving efficiently from problem-solving and decision-making to practical action. They use tools and effective processes to coordinate agreed upon actions. Everyone knows what he or she is supposed to be doing and how it fits with what others are doing.
A team capable of decisive, coordinated action is a team that possesses and uses skills and tools to coordinate and track work. Everyone knows what is required, by whom, when, and how. Work activity is highly visible. There is little time wasted moving from talk to action. In teams where decisive, coordinated action is lacking, you’ll see people talking about what needs to be done, but not making specific requests and assignments, or you’ll see decisions made that are not followed through. You may see some frustration because expectations are not being met. You’ll also see team members not informing one another of their plans and actions (runaway drivers).
