Information on Leadership Vision
Every team should have a vision of what it could
be, where it really wants to go. A leadership vision statement is a narrative, periodically revisited, that provides a
clear and compelling view of the future and articulates the
desired future state (TO BE). The leadership vision may
contain elements of quality of work life and relationships as
well as descriptions of what makes the team special and
unique. The leadership vision intends to serve as the
beacon toward which the team will continually strive and against
which it might measure its progress. In general, a leadership
vision shows the end, but not the way; it
describes the final destination, but does not describe how to
get there.
