Information on Team Problem Solving

Team Problem Solving is the first step in a team decision-making process. Team problem-solving is a core skill. It involves defining and scoping the task, positing criteria for successful achievement of the task or resolution of the problem, and describing the circumstances surrounding the task or issue or the context in which it occurs. Next, team members identify a range of possible causes, along with their respective assumptions. Then, the team brainstorms solution alternatives. At any point, more information and analysis might be required. Teams are advised to use the process of operationalising to define problems, solutions, and resolution strategies.
