Information on Team Purpose/Vision

Team Purpose/Vision is an element of the high-performance team charter.
Where the vision is more about where the team would like to go and how it would like to be, the mission is what it must do: why it exists.
The mission statement is intended to focus people’s efforts, and most goals will derive from the mission. Mission statements do not have to be unique. That is, more than one team could theoretically have the same mission. That said, a team’s mission must be specific enough to cover the breadth and depth of the work required of it.
