An FM transmitter transmits a frequency modulated (FM) signal.
Commercial FM transmitters are often found in the VHF (very
high frequency) band, around 100 MHz. An FM transmitter
offers the advantage of noise immunity compared to an AM
transmitter. This noise immunity in an FM transmitter is
achieved at the expense of bandwidth efficiency.
