Transmitters and Receivers — Limiter

Information on Limiter

The purpose of the limiter is to remove any amplitude variations that exist in the signal before it reaches the detector to avoid any distortion during the demodulation process. Any AM noise that may have become part of the signal therefore does not affect the information that is contained in the frequency variations.
