Information on LSB Transmitter (Lower Sideband Transmitter)

An LSB transmitter (lower sideband transmitter) is a form of SSB transmitter (single sideband transmitter) that transmits only on the lower sideband. An LSB transmitter usually operates by generating a DSB (double sideband) signal and using a filter to remove the upper sideband. The design of this filter often causes an LSB transmitter to perform two separate frequency-shifting modulation operations.
