Information on Modulator

A modulator is used in a transmitter to frequency-shift a signal. The output signal from a modulator represents the input, baseband signal in either its amplitude, frequency or phase. These correspond to the names given to the three main types of analog modulation: amplitude modulation, frequency modulation and phase modulation.
