Information on Power Amplifier (Power Amp)

A power amplifier is one that is designed to provide a high output current to drive a low-impedance load.
     In a transmitter, a power amplifier is used to drive the antenna.
     In a receiver, the power amplifier is part of the AF stage (audio-frequency stage), and often drives a loud speaker.
