Information on IDL (Interface Definition Language)

The IDL (Interface Definition Language) is used to define the interfaces between CORBA objects. IDL defines the operations that can be requested through each interface, along with its input and output parameters. An important property of IDL is that the interface definition is independent of hardware, operating system and programming language.
IDL is a standard of the OMG.
